Believe

To believe is the most creative thing anyone can do, believe you can and you are already halfway there. Theodore Roosevelt

An ancient legend credits a woman with the discover of wine.  As female’s in wine, we wanted to share this story as we believe it to be true.

As the tale goes, a beautiful Persian princess in King Jamshid’s harem, suffered migraines (maybe this is where the “not tonight I have a headache” came from).  During one of her bouts rather than clean up, she left grapes out in the sun.  Weeks later, King Jamshid noticed the grapes in the sun.  They had a weird smell & foamed.  Being disturbed by this, he banished them believing them poisonous.  The princess rather than destroy the grapes decided to drink the juice in an attempt to take her life and end her chronic pain. Instead of death, she became jovial, and pain free. When Jamshid heard this and saw her ebullient nature he demanded she make more.  At the next gathering the frothy elixir was served. The group became cheerful and boisterous.  He degreed all grapes would be grown for this use.  Today, archeological evidence proves wine trade in ancient Persia.

This is Jamshid’s story what is yours?
